Official Modes of Communication for Field ES

School Website is https://field.houstonisd.org/

Field ES now uses Parent Square for daily messaging, as well as HISD. School event announcements will be posted here regularly. You can also use Parent Square to communicate with staff.

Download for Apple and Google.

Keep up with grades and attendance anytime using PowerSchool. There is a smartphone app by both Apple & Android for easy access! HISD provides instructions to check here.  Progress Reports and Report Cards sync up with PowerSchool but please note there can be delays. *Pro Tip - Check your "junk" folder for Powerschool emails.

*Clicking on number grade reveals their graded work!

Parent Communications (unofficial)

Many parents use WhatsApp groups to share info. This is considered an unofficial mode of communication and not used by Field ES.

Suggested info sharing: Birthday parties invitations, community events and spirit night reminders, donation requests for class needs or projects, and even missing homework sheets in a pinch.

*Pro Tip: We are all in this together! Please keep WhatsApp groups filled with positive posts! We love Field ES and want to spread our positive message to all our Field families.

**Please take school concerns to your teacher and/or school administration (recognizing the escalation pathway of: teacher, ancillary/SW/counselor, asst principal then principal). Our administration is very open to addressing parent concerns and are accessible via Dojo, email or front office.

Field ES uses School Messenger only to send urgent, important updates that may occur during the school day.

Get answers to commonly asked SchoolMessenger questions here.

More questions? Contact SchoolMessenger at support@schoolmessenger.com

Pro Tip: You can choose to receive phone calls, texts and/or emails.

In addition to signing up for the service, parents and students who wish to receive HISD calls and text messages must make sure their cellphone numbers are registered with their school office and listed in the district’s School Information System. (See item below)
