 Welcome to Field Elementary! 

We've included a few tips below to ensure you are ready to go for the 2024 - 2025 school year!

Summer Play dates - July 27th

Social events held during the summer, hosted by the PTO at our school playground. These events are a great opportunity for new (and current families) to hang out and get to know each other.  


Meet the teacher - AUGUST 8th

Meet the Teacher is a day held the week before school begins for all students and their families to meet the teachers & staff, drop off school supplies and learn more about what to expect at Field.

Uniform Policy


Uniforms are required for all students at Field Elementary, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise noted. There will be designated uniform free dress days. The PTO usually holds one "Dollar Dress Friday" each month (typically the first Friday of the month).

Field Spirit Store: Order your Field spirit gear here! All t-shirts are uniform approved and can be worn daily with school appropriate bottoms. 



The store will reopen with Meet The Teacher in August 2024.


SCHOOL HOURS: 7:30am TO 3:00pm

Drop off at Front Gate on 17th St as early as 7:05am



You will receive your dismissal tags the first day of school. 

school Supplies: 

Parents who purchased through Sprout -
Your kit(s) will be delivered to your child's classroom. Deadline to order your kit was July 9th. 

School supplies can be dropped off at the Meet the teacher event. 


Help keep our Lost & Found to a minimum and avoid having to buy new clothes and supplies during the school year - use labels! 



Support Field PTO by purchasing Mabel's Labels for your child's belongings AND help Ms. Q keep the Lost and Found under control!

BREAKFAST is provided to all students free of charge. Breakfast is held in your child’s classroom.

LUNCH is provided to all students free of charge.

Additional snacks & treats may be purchased during lunchtime in the cafeteria and range from $1-2.

One week per month Field will host Parent's Lunch Week! Parents & Guardians can join their student(s) for lunch during their regular lunch period. Outside food is allowed!

Please limit to 1 attendee per student due to limited space and arrive 10 minutes before the student's lunch time to check in at the front desk with Ms. Q. 

**You MUST be VIPS approved to attend.**


VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools):

To be eligible to volunteer at Field Elementary, chaperone on field trips or attend lunch with your student(s), you MUST be VIPS approved. Final approval can take up to 3 weeks so Register today! 

Note: VIPS, is an annual background check through HISD for all volunteers who help assist public schools. You are required to register every year!


Field Elementary: uses Class Dojo for all communication!

You will be invited to join Class Dojo by your student’s teachers the week before school begins and we highly encourage you to do so to receive information directly from your child's teacher and Field Admin.
